I love Phil speaking about Pig in his book, it really moves my soul in beautiful directions.

Long Live Pig Pen!

How can you not love the energy, soul, and passion that Pigpen brought to the Grateful Dead stage? Long live Pigpen, Jerry, and the Grateful Dead. Thanks for the heads-up c-man. I think gd71-04-27 Fillmore East is the best Lovelight that Pig ever belted out with the boys. I put it up on Media Fire for you. Please enjoy this fantastic arrangement of Lovelight while we celebrate Pigpen's life.

I've never heard Bring Me My Shotgun and I don't know what his middle name is, but I love his voice and the songs he sang and and the ones he wrote like The Stranger and the way he played harp and keyboards.
Listening to http://www.archive.org/details/gd1966-XX-XX.sbd.GEMS.81254.flac16 from This Just In. Sweet versions of Tastebud, Schoolgirl, etc. Don't forget the Pigpen raps.
